LBR Staff Writer Published 30 July 2012

German car spare parts seller Auto-Teile-Pollath Handels (ATP) has selected Witron Logistik + Informatik's e-commerce solutions for its logistic expansion plans.

As per the deal, Witron will provide order picking system (OPS) and ergonomic pallet picking (ETP) system.

OPS will be a goods-to-man solution with a seven-aisle AS/RS and over 40,000 locations.

Witron said that eight workstations will allow picking directly into dispatch cartons and an additional six workstations can be added in the future.

ETP module will be used to pick heavy and bulky articles using three man-aboard pick mobiles within a seven aisle pallet high bay warehouse comprising 12,000 locations.

The deal will also see Witron responsible for the entire realization, information technology, and PLC control system as well as supply many of the mechanical elements within the system.

ATP owner Peter Poellath said, "The Witron logistics modules are cost-efficient, innovative, ergonomic, and designed for further growth."
